This is NOT the first and only Livejournal community dedicated to The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, but it IS the first for just general fanfiction. Meaning that if the fic isn't isn't slash, then this is the place for you.

Since this info obviously didn't make sense to most people first time around, here's the breakdown. Any kind of generic fanfiction with at least one person from the TDS/TCR fandom, from the old school cast with Kilborn and Beth to the new cast with Aasif and Riggle, can be posted here. Het is okay, male friendships rule, full blown out slash needs to go to tds_rps. I hope this actually makes sense now. Please don't be hesitant to ask me or Kaden questions.

EN (1).
No bashing, no flaming, no wanking, no dicking around, no shit like that. Criticism is A-OK, is actually encouraged, but don't go nuts over someone's work because you don't agree with the views presented in it. Remember, the internet isn't serious business, so get your head out of your ass before you decide to join, dick. (Kaden, of course, is exempt from this rule, because it's actually amusing when she does it.)

TO (2).
Anything that may spoil a recent airing of either The Daily Show, The Colbert Report or a related program should be placed behind a LiveJournal cut tag, as should all fics and large images so it doesn't fuck up our friends lists and shit.

TRE (3).
Keep the posts on topic. Anything that doesn't relate directly to The Daily Show or The Colbert Report should go to tdstcr_ot. You post them here, it'll get deleted.

FIRE (4).
For the love of Pete Wentz and all things awesome, please use fanfiction headers. Just put the fic title down in the subject line, then use a certain format in the fic you are posting, like title, author name, rating, etc. Here's an idea of what should be on there:

- Title of the fic.
- Author's name.
- Characters involved.
- Rating (G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17).
- Any necessary warnings of potentially offensive content.
- A disclaimer.

FEM (5).
Disclaimers are not fucking optional. Any time you post a fic or other piece of work, be sure to include one. We're lazy mofos, so we're taking TDS_RPS' disclaimer, and warping it into our own. K? k.
